How to Prepare
The most common reason for a disappointing headshot isn’t lighting or camera settings — it’s not thinking about wardrobe and background in advance. A few practical pointers:
Wardrobe: Solid colours photograph better than busy patterns. Bring 2–3 options and we’ll decide on location. Avoid bright white (harsh against most backgrounds) and strong horizontal stripes.
Hair and grooming: Do it the day before, not the morning of. Freshly cut hair often looks slightly too new.
Expression: Most people try to look professional and end up looking stiff. The better brief is to look like you’re genuinely interested in what the other person is saying.
Timing: Book for mid-morning if possible — most people look their best before lunch.
