Every brand claim made on a website is either confirmed or undercut by the images surrounding it. A headline that says “premium” next to a flat smartphone photo from 2019 creates friction. The reader’s eye processes the image before the copy — and usually believes it over the words.
Brand photography is the visual proof layer of a brand’s communication. It’s what makes the abstract claims on a homepage believable.
What Brand Photography Covers
Brand photography isn’t a single deliverable — it’s a system of images that covers multiple formats and contexts:
Hero images — the large, dominant images that anchor landing pages and campaign headers. These set the overall tone and are usually the most produced shots in the set.
Social content — vertical and square formats optimised for Instagram, LinkedIn, and story placements. Often shot alongside hero images, but framed differently.
Product and detail photography — clean, isolated shots for e-commerce, spec sheets, and press materials. Minimal styling, maximum clarity.
Lifestyle photography — the product or service in use, in context. The most persuasive category because it puts the viewer in the scene.
Workspace and team photography — behind-the-scenes material that builds trust. People buy from people, especially in service businesses. A well-photographed team page or studio tour communicates authenticity that stock photos never can.
Process documentation — for craft businesses, consultancies, or any brand where the method is part of the value proposition. Shows how you work, not just what you produce.
Why Zagreb Works for Brand Photography
Zagreb has become an increasingly attractive production destination for EU brands — particularly Austrian, German, and Slovenian companies — for several reasons:
Production cost. Studio rental, location fees, and day rates are significantly lower than in Vienna, Munich, or Ljubljana while delivering the same professional output.
Visual variety. The city centre offers a range of architectural styles from Habsburg to mid-century modernist within walking distance. The coast (Kvarner, Dalmatia) is 2–3 hours away for outdoor and lifestyle shoots. The Zagorje hinterland provides pastoral and rustic options.
Logistics. Zagreb is a direct flight from most EU capitals. The studio is in the city centre (Gundulićeva), easy to reach without a car.
EU invoicing. GALLAXI issues invoices in EUR and is registered in Croatia (EU). No VAT complications for EU B2B clients with valid tax numbers.
The Production Process
1. Brief and moodboard
Before any equipment is booked, we build a shared brief: where the images will be used, what they need to communicate, reference moodboards, and a list of specific shots required. This step prevents expensive surprises on shoot day.
2. Location scouting and prop sourcing
Depending on the brief, this takes 1–3 days. I compile a shortlist of locations with photos and access notes. For studio shoots, we specify the set, props, and lighting approach in advance.
3. Shoot day(s)
A typical brand photography project is 1–2 days of shooting. Complex projects (multiple product categories, multiple locations, large teams) may extend to 3–4 days.
4. Selection and editing
After the shoot, I deliver a contact sheet of selects within 48 hours. After you confirm, full editing takes 5–10 business days depending on volume.
5. Delivery
All images delivered in full resolution (print) and web-optimised (digital) via a download link. Raw files are not included by default but can be licensed.
