What makes a good business portrait
The difference between a good and a mediocre business portrait rarely comes down to equipment. It comes down to direction.
Most people are uncomfortable in front of a camera. That discomfort is visible immediately — a stiff expression, a forced smile, posture that signals I want to be anywhere else right now. That is not a personality flaw. It is the result of a situation where no one has told you what to do with your face, your hands, or your body.
Part of my job is designing that situation so the result looks like you on a good day: present, approachable, credible. Not like someone posing for a passport photo.
In practical terms:
- A brief conversation first — we talk about where the photos will be used and what they should communicate. A headshot for a law firm needs a different tone than a founder portrait for a tech startup.
- Enough time — I do not work assembly-line. Sessions have a calm rhythm that allows enough variation to give you a real choice.

Types of business portraits I offer in Vienna
LinkedIn headshot (30–45 min)
A clear, professional portrait for LinkedIn and similar platforms. One background, one primary look. Right for anyone who needs a current photo quickly — or whose existing image is several years old and no longer matches how they present themselves today.
The LinkedIn profile photo is the first thing someone sees before reading your name. It decides in milliseconds whether they continue or keep scrolling.
Full business portrait (60–90 min)
Multiple looks, backgrounds, and framings. Covers LinkedIn, your website, PR material, and speaker profiles in a single session — including both tight headshots and wider environmental portraits for flexibility in how you use the images later.
Recommended for: founders, executives, independent consultants, doctors, lawyers, and anyone who deploys their image regularly across different contexts.
Team photos
From 2 to 30+ people in a single session. A consistent look that works as a coherent brand on your About page and team directory — rather than a collage of personal phone photos at different qualities, angles, and lighting conditions.
Typical pace: 10–15 minutes per person. A 10-person team is done in 2–2.5 hours including brief transitions between slots. For office shoots in Vienna, I come to you — no studio rental cost, no half-day trip for your team.
Executive portraits
Extended sessions for board members, senior partners, and founders who need images for media use, annual reports, or high-level corporate communications. Includes on-site shooting at your Vienna office or an agreed location.

All sessions include image selection, colour correction, retouching, and delivery in print and web resolution. Invoiced in EUR, EU-compliant. Prices are deliberately below the Vienna market average — I am building my client base in the city and am interested in long-term relationships, not one-time maximum margins.
Vienna and Zagreb: two bases, one contact
I have an apartment in Vienna and am there regularly — shoots in Vienna are not a special arrangement but a fixed part of how I work. Main studio is in Zagreb (Gundulićeva, city centre), where production costs are lower and the space is fully equipped.
For clients in Germany, Switzerland, or elsewhere in Austria: travel assignments available on request.
Practical preparation notes
Clothing: Solid colours over patterns. Bring 2–3 options. Avoid pure white and strong horizontal stripes.
Hair and grooming: Do it the day before, not the morning of the shoot. Freshly-cut hair often looks slightly too fresh — about a week after a haircut is the ideal timing.
Expression: Most people try to look professional and end up looking stiff. A better instruction: look as though you are genuinely listening. That produces a more natural result than any deliberate posing.
Timing: If you can choose, book in the morning. Most people look best earlier in the day, and interior light is often more flattering then.
