Sports Doctors Network — Globalni glas elitne sportske medicine
Kompletna Webflow izrada za prvu globalnu mrežu medicine u elitnom nogometu. Dizajnirano za tri publike — liječnike, sponzore i medije — na jednoj naslovnoj, s CMS predajom klijentu.
Context
Sports Doctors Network was founded by senior team physicians from Real Madrid and other elite football clubs to give athletes — at every level — the same standard of medical care that champions get. The brief was to translate that authority into a digital presence: a site that positions SDN as a trusted global institution, supports international summits at venues like the Santiago Bernabéu and Monaco Yacht Club, and works equally well for medical professionals, sponsors, and press.
Brief
Build the entire web presence from scratch — visual identity in the digital surface, full site architecture, CMS for recurring content (events, publications, press features), and clean hand-off to in-house staff. Three audiences had to coexist on the same homepage without sacrificing clarity: physicians and clinicians looking for membership, sponsors looking for visibility, and press looking for editorial coverage.
Approach
I designed and built the site in Webflow on the Client First framework, with a custom token system and component library on top.
Visual system
- Type: Big Shoulders Display for headings (newspaper authority, fits sports editorial), Satoshi Variable for body and UI.
- Cards: Soft blue glow for default, green glow on hover/featured — a small motion cue that draws the eye to the next click without shouting.
- Decoration: Repeating dot-column SVGs as side flanks on key content sections, anchored
with
::before/::afterpseudo-elements so the page stays editorial without becoming decorative noise.
Information architecture
Eleven public pages — Home, About, Our Team, Past & Future Conferences, Publications, Press,
Services, Expertise, FAQ, Contact, Join — plus event detail pages. Every public page sits on a
single breadcrumb component above the H1, two levels deep, with a custom > separator SVG. The
sticky 90px navbar uses a reduced state and a clearly differentiated CTA pill (“JOIN SPORTS
DOCTORS NETWORK”) that stays consistent across breakpoints.
CMS architecture
Two Collections do the heavy lifting:
- Events — past and future conferences, with cover image, dates, location, category (Conference / Summit / Workshop / Webinar), short and full descriptions, register URL, and a featured switch. Drives the Home page upcoming-events strip and the Past Conferences archive page.
- Whyjoins — the “Why Sponsor SDN?” accordion on the About page. Plain-text question, rich-text answer, order index. Sponsors can be added or reordered without touching the design.
Engineering details
- Custom JS for the sponsor accordion lives in a Webflow embed scoped to the Section — single
delegated click handler toggles
--openmodifier on the nearest item. - Sticky navbar uses CSS-only
position: stickywith a measured 90px height that doesn’t interfere with breadcrumbs (asdn-breadcrumbs_topcombo class adds top margin on pages without a hero). - Card hover transitions limited to
border-colorandbox-shadow— 200ms, ease — so the effect feels instant without a layout shift.
Outcome
The site is live at sportsdoctorsnetwork.com and supports SDN’s 2026 international summit calendar — Milan, Monaco, and Madrid (Bernabéu, with the NFL).
Press coverage from ABC, Telemadrid, El Debate, and Cadena SER following the 10th Sports Medicine Global Summit ran through the press features section, which sponsors and journalists now reach directly from the homepage. Supporting partners — Abbott, NICE, International SOS, HM Hospitales, Limfa, La Chambre, Publicis Health, Intesa Sanpaolo — surface as a logo wall above the footer.
One site, three audiences, one voice. The Webflow CMS hand-off means SDN’s team adds conferences, press features, and publications without ever asking a developer for help.
