A curated selection across creative portraiture, food, and fashion editorial — including the AD Magazine type-sculpture series and MOXI London street campaign.
Context
Photography has been part of GALLAXI’s practice from the start — alongside the digital and brand work that takes up most of the calendar. Some commissions, some self-initiated editorial. This page collects the work that survives a second look.
The selection groups around three disciplines: creative portraiture (concept-led, lit), commercial food (warm-light, top-down, retail-ready), and fashion editorial (campaign and street, including the AD Magazine type-sculpture series).
Disciplines
Creative portraiture
Concept-led portraits — Halloween editorial face-craft, cinematic male portraiture, twin portraits in autumn lifestyle. Driven by lighting decisions made before the model arrives, not after.
Food photography
Commercial food work for retail and restaurant clients — charcuterie boards, classic European dishes (Olivier, mortadella sandwich), warm natural light, top-down compositions optimised for menus, catalogues, and social.
Fashion editorial
Two strands. Street campaign — MOXI London on location across Notting Hill. Studio editorial — including the AD Magazine series, built around an oversized typographic A_D letterform sculpture. Models worked in tension with the typography rather than against neutral seamless.
AD Magazine — type-sculpture series
The standout series of the period. A custom-built A_D letterform set, ~2m tall, used as both prop and architectural divider. Three looks — yellow paisley, all-black, red dress — each composed to put the model in dialogue with the letter shapes rather than simply standing beside them. Lighting consistent across looks for editorial cohesion.
Distribution
Selected work has appeared in editorial print, on client retail collateral, and across the GALLAXI portfolio. A 47-page PDF compilation is available for download from this case study (link in the meta column above).
